Togavirüsler
Synopsis
Togavirüsler, Togaviridae ailesine ait, zarflı, tek sarmallı ve pozitif polariteli RNA virüsleridir. Bu virüs ailesi, insanlarda ve hayvanlarda hastalık yapabilen Alfavirüs ve Rubivirüs olmak üzere iki ana cins içerir. Alfavirüsler genellikle artropod vektörlerle yayıldıkları için arbovirüsler (arthropod-borne virüs) içerisinde sınıflandırılırlar. Rubivirüs cinsi içerisinde ise rubella (kızamıkçık) virüsü yer alır (1). Bu bölümde togavirüslerden bahsedilmiştir.
